Joe Larkin took the stage at age 69, much later than most stand up comics. His hilarious sets play on his childhood growing up in a large Irish-Catholic family,. His political views are informed by his college experience at the University of Illinois during the culturally explosive 60s and 70s and on his vast life experience. Family, friends, acquaintances are all fair game for his barbed humor. His self-deprecating take on the physical, psychological, sexual and emotional changes that come with advancing age plays well with young and old audiences alike. He’s the “cool” grandpa every young hipster would like to have and also the guy who speaks truth for older Americans.
